Zen, Potting Plants, and Being Hurt

Current mood: rejected

Wow that was quite a week last week, inside me anyway. Someone said to blame it on the moon, no one else had any advice. Today has had its better moments. I stopped to enjoy the moment at least a few times today and took the garbage out of my car, look at me taking care of me and being mindful, seesh. Yesterday was Tu B'Shvat, the Jewsih New Year for trees. My resolve was to re-pot all of the plants in my office, as they have all seen better days and were in need of some serious TLC. I just finished that task and I feel pretty good, it was so nice to get dirty and to give my time and focus to one thing. As for being hurt I can't deny that I am. I don't know if I have it in me to to get it out of me. A real catch 22 if there ever was one. Feeling so hurt makes me feel so selfconsious and weak, I am without the strength to see myself through the peril of this pain. Sometimes it comes back to the boat and hanging on, to being the wreckage, trying to blow myself ashore with the wind of huge furious hateful words, but they are so indirect that the person I am hoping will hear them doesn't even notice. I know somewhere inside myself anyway, that I can't wait for someone else, but when I try for myself I come back to the catch 22. I hope you know in even a small way that I am hurting, that you know the origin of my pain, maybe years from now when given the opertunity to evaluate yourself you will notice a hint of it in your life, in what you will be sharing with others then, still I am too indirect, but the closer I get to saying anything the more it just becomes a scream, profanity, fury. Really feeling with gusto is pure liquid hate, pain so painful that knowing it is not enough feeling it is not enough. Screaming, biting, spewing bile, until there is nothing left of me still wouldn't mend it. The zen of potting plants, the moment of such focused care, I hate myself too much to ask for it, but I need it so badly. My roots are so dry, the nutrients in my soil have been absorbed, I am wilting.

*hugs* I am so sorry some people are just so oblivious to others feelings. Don't feel weak though it takes strength to love someone. It also takes strength to reach out and open up to someone and I personally think maybe he is just not strong enough to see things the way they really are because he is afraid to deal with them. I know it is hard to be direct it is even harder when the person you are being indirect with doesn't wanna see things any other way than what they believe them to be. I wish I had some advice for you all I can say is blame it on fear. Fear limits us in everyway possible and it is a very hard thing to over come.

Scratchy Man Cash
Current mood: giggly
Dammit it made me laugh! As some of you may know I work my day job for the man as a care giver of the tiny children. The other day one of the kids came by my desk as he was leaving and I said bye ------- and he said bye SCRATCHY MAN CASH and smiled. No one else seemd to get it or care about it as I began to tell it to my co-workers, but it just tickled me I was giggeling all afternoon, I still think it is funny. I suppose it is a 'you just had to be there' moment, but scratchy man cash heh heh heh.... well that is all I had to say, wait, oh yeah, I thought it was so silly that I wrote it on a post-it and put it on my computer :) anyway bye (say it out loud to a friend) SCRATCHY MAN CASH!

Releasing the 'Fuck' within
Current mood:FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
Important Steps to Release the 'Fuck' Within
Where is that book when I need it! I am so furious, I hate myself so much! Why can't I scream at the woman at the grocery store or spit on the people at the dolla movie who called me shamu?! Where is the mantra to tap the keg of fury? How can I harness the need to scream and break things? I'm choking on this feeling and I just want to go to my angry place and freak out! Just to clarify as I suddenly feel I need to as I am not quite in my rant groove yet, I am using 'fuck' as in man that guy over there is a real 'fuck', not as a verb. So you could say gee the person tailgaiting me on the freeway and flashing their brights at me is being a real 'fuck' that is what i mean and I now demand that you understand that! So I am having trouble releasing the 'fuck' with in! And here I thought I would have a big dissertation of the essence of my current being and the 'fuck' within, but instead I am just going to go and clean my fish tank and feel hurt deep inside myself because I can't be a 'fuck' and I am still going down with the boat.

Track 5
Current mood:Radiohead-Pablo Honey
Return from the deep blue? well not really blue, but with a few fish and fake plants. FUCK YOU! That's right cleaning my fish tank didn't help me take my mind off the 'fuck' within or how truly disgusting I am. Dammit where is the zen. I'm just back on the boat and holding on tighter then ever. The guy who shit his pants is long gone and the boy took his mary jane and found better things to do. I don't even have the pear arrent to keep me faux company while I peel at my own skin to cook and eat and build a better me with it, that is if bigger is better, it is right? Sleepless nights under water do me no good either peddaling for excuses, caring less these days even if my typing is getting better (i didn't say spelling or gramma) FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am such a fool, a stupid lame 'fuck' . I never even looked at the boat I just got in and held on, and now I am to stupid, proud, ashamed to let go. Oh captian my fucking captian you got what you wanted and then sank the ship or were you a diver salvaging the wreckage of an already fucked over ship smacked all over the rocks, either way you got what you wanted. I suppose to me it was the boat despite the beyond disrepear state that it is in that I was looking at or mattered to me or fills my ideas head and FUCK YOU! feel that you shitty shit shit fucker FUCK YOU! Feel it dammit I'm so tired of being down here alone, I always have been FUCK!

Wow things are really taking a turn at this point perhaps better to breakout into a new post, also for reference 2006 was a pretty terrible year.

Rowing, but still going down with the ship!

Current mood: crushed

So here I am sitting on dan's bed room floor typing on his computer key borad proped on my smelly feet and thinking to myself, FUCK!!!!!! MAN!!!!!! I'm riding on this boat and I'll be damned if it isn't already all the fuckin' way underwater?! "I've got to get something nice to wear to work out cause there are a lot of hot girls down there..." and then I ate a cheese burger and played with my chewbacca spinning top.I can't seem to float to the top of the water, I'm just sitting in the ship rowing like a mutherfucker, and then once and a whiel i think i see other boast passing and I thing damn there it is I'll just reach out and get a ride, but I'll be damned if all the other boast aren't under water too. One person tells me that the way to surface is to walk on an oval sidewalk until all your skin falls off and then you'll bob up to the surface where you will be received with open arms and you can become a super model or a lap dancer. So on ocasion I walk on the oval, but I haven't risen out of my seat on the ship. Others toute the benefits of da' christus oh how I am blessed with the gift of shame for all the shit i am in this world, he will still lift me up...I, no question, enjoy the company of my doubt over the hand of the christus. The boy about 16 feet from me like to be moved around by mary jane, but doesn't push it on anyone, fair play to him. There is a guy who shit himself down stairs right now and I can imagine, if not see that he is floating, he even has one of those nice rafts not the ones that get a puncture after you use it once, but one of those fancy ones you can get in the sharper image that is like a lawn chair and raft togther. The ship has a lot of problems, but that shouldn't be of any concern to me I shoudl still drift away from it, still let go and catch the current, but some how i can't, i keep holding on steadfast to this thing that is so long gone, how did I end up so fucked you may ask...I've been wondering that myself.
good night and good luck.

AVAG CO BEP SIG

Current mood: restless

Hello all,

I figure as i skoot around here on the web late nightish at work that I would drop myself a line. Everyone is out of town at a big conference so I am working over time, which is both good and bad. I keep hearting this persistant ticking, what the fuck that is I'll never know. Walter is vaccuuming in the hall and my other boss is skooting around in the background here far beyond her hours as well, althouth she is doing something more work related than I am. I'm not in much of a funk at the moment, although I'm not sure if that is because I'm not feelin a funk or if that is because I am so damned tired. Last night I didn't even make it through the simpsons and I woke up at like 4:30 in the morning to all the lights and the tv on. YECHT! I really don't mind working more hours, it will be nice to have the overtime and it will make me appreciate the break all the more. So with all that said or the lack of all that said I'm off to freez my bad self in this damnedable weather... at least the other night when it was snowing the nihgt held a sense of beauty and wasn't so damned cold!

Eh, whatever.

One last flash back for today...

Tuesday, November 01, 2005

Current mood: distressed

So a hundred years ago I finally got high speed internet, and yet there it all sits not doing a damn thing. Anyway I am here at work blogging on my break time. This place is truly baby town! There are only two stories to this building and between the two stories we have 6 babies in the making...I'm not sure why this grinds my cheese so hard, but it does. I am not really into having my own kids, I love working with them so much, but I also love going home at the end of the day. I dunno maybe there are hormones in the air that are screwing with my sense of self. I have been throughly out of wack for a while and just absorbing it all has left me twisted around. It is shit to be 2,000 miles from something that is a kind mess and sometimes it is shit to be 27. Harry if you can hear me it is time to live the rock star life we planned, I hope you are having more success then I am :( sigh* anyway I had so many better and prophetic things to tap out before I got here, HA isn't that always the way! Everyone shoudl go see my brother play his gig at the Jazzy Cajun 3018 South State Street tonite and every Friday! I'll be there dripping wax.

More flash backs...

A few things in no particular order:

-As of today is actually proud of her citizenship (please stop stealing her identity, but feel free to take her massive education related debt)

-Would prefer to not learn any more lessons that include the words “cash only” and a man with a brass button emblazoned eye patch for quite a while.

-Can tell you she saw Robert Redpotato, Chris Meloini, and Joe Francis (the girls gone wild guy) while in Park City this weekend.

-Felt the world stop to listen to the inaugural speech.

-Is so grateful for her responsible friends a.k.a Melissa

-Has eaten what could pass for an actual breakfast twice in the last week.

-Was recently praised by her toothbrush.

In response to #3:

My 13th birthday

I placed an excessive amount of importance on my entrance into teen-hood and I elaborately planned a murder mystery party with my best friend at her house. It was all going as planned, OCD from an early age as I am, with one exception...I was relying on my family to drop off the birthday cake. All they had to do was drop it off, dessert would be served and then the mock killing would begin.
Unfortunately they were late, in the interim some unplanned fun broke out which was unfortunately halted by the arrival of the cake. Upon the presentation of the cake all the adults and my poor little brother gathered at the back of the living room and in sauntered a scrawny little man dressed like a stereotypical "nerd" (we are talking glasses with tape on the bridge and slicked hair parted in the middle, really the whole nine yards).
I like plans and structure I am not know for liking surprises and this experience throughly cemented that fact. With my friends seated around me a stranger who at the time I was not aware was a stripper asked "Who's Erika?" I was identified by the crowd, this is when the music appeared, supplied by the boom box toting parents, my best friend had fled into another part of the house at this point because she was terrified of a stranger seeing her in the rather revealing cocktail dress she was wearing and I was left alone, so to speak, with this man in front of a crowd of my peers who I had meticulously hand picked for this highly structured event.
"I hear you like to do the time warp"* he says to me. I am now standing behind the overstuffed chair I was previously sitting in and occasionally screaming out for my friend. Que the music and the stripping...he fained knowledge of the dance while poorly attempting to lure me out from behind the chair...rrrrrrip off come the velcro pants, "happy birthday"...snap snap snap the shirt pocket protector and all hit the floor...he completes the dance in not too revealing satin heart boxers and tosses his glasses to the ground.
I leave the room promptly and find a dark room in which to lock myself and calculate the cost of therapy over my lifetime. I am eventually lured out of the small upstairs sewing room by my friends and some additional unplanned fun ensues. In hindsight I suppose I can refer to this experience as my batmitzvah and the predictor of the my future as an adult woman. 'Today you are a woman'...

*I did like to do the time warp and frequently attended the Rocky Horror Picture Show, but not at my well planned party and not in front of a bunch of people who were laughing at me...

16 Other random things; a quality waste of time.

---

16 Other random things about me

1- I cut my own hair on new years eve, I don’t think it looks bad at all.

2- The rice milk I used on my cereal this morning was expired and I knew it, but I used it anyway.

3-My father got me a stripper for my 13th birthday.

4-As a child cutting up National Geographic Magazines was always forbidden, when I do it now I still feel guilty, but take an immense amount of secret pleasure in it.

5-Last year my upstairs neighbor died in her apartment, I never found out if it was an accidental overdose or if she committed suicide.

6-Last night I tried to make potato salad while sitting in bed.

7-I have an immense fear of authority, particularly anyone who is armed or in uniform.

8-I have watched the movie Clue at least 300 times.

9-Clerks II made me cry.

10-When Mister Rogers died I wore a black ribbon for a week.

11-Jefferson Starship- We Built this City (On Rock and Roll) is one of my favorite songs of all time.

12-My first concert was Billy Joel at the Salt Palace; it was the same day that my brother fell off his bike and got a concussion, I was a jerk and went to the concert anyway.

13-I had my tonsils out when I was 10. I was terrified at the time and very upset with the doctor when they scheduled the surgery on my 10th birthday. I couldn’t believe they didn’t see anything wrong with that, it’s not like my birthday wasn’t written on every last stupid document in my file. As you can tell I took that awfully personally, who the hell would want to do something like that on their birthday, let alone the only time you roll in the double digits.

14-I clotheslined a girl in gym class and pretended it was an accident so I wouldn’t get in trouble. I loved it and I am pretty sure that makes me a horrible person.

15-I hate when people use “being an artist” as an excuse for being an asshole.

16-I cheated in my high school Latin class; strangely it is one of the few things that I don’t feel quite as guilty about.

There you have it again, that still took a lot longer than I expected, anyway, if you made it this far thanks for reading and like I said do with it what you will.
